ALS Association
Tens of thousands of baseball fans across America are now more aware of Lou Gehrig’s disease and its impacts on patients, families and caregivers as a result of ALSA’s involvement in Minor League Baseball’s Charity Partners program. In addition to increasing the public’s awareness of the disease, fans, like those of the Lakewood BlueClaws, made generous donations to patient services and research at stadium events sponsored by ALSA and the minor league baseball teams themselves.
American Cancer Society
With chartered divisions throughout the country and over 3,400 local offices, the American Cancer Society (ACS) is committed to fighting cancer through balanced programs of research, education, patient service, advocacy, and rehabilitation. The ACS partners with many organizations, like the Lakewood BlueClaws, in order to promote cancer awareness and elicit some help from people throughout the community in the fight for a cure.
American Heart Association
The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency whose mission is to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Throughout the country many organizations, such as minor league baseball teams, have funded efforts to educate people on the risks of heart disease in order to reduce the number of cases.

The mission of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is to end the devastating effects of MS. Founded in1946, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society supports more MS research, offers more services for people with MS, provides more professional education programs, and furthers more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world.
